Description: The Resalim Remote Station is a piece of hardware that is used to expand the area of operations of an AI system. The remote station has an extensive amount of information and data storage that will allow the AI to inhabit the station and have sufficient space for it to be fully functional, as well as to have plenty of processing power to work on the problems they are given. A Resalim Remote Station is not an AI in and of itself; it does not have the proper architecture that is needed to run the operating systems of a complete AI. It is merely an operating system that allows the AI to operate from a remote position and have an operable presence.
The remote station is a solid block of micro and moly-circuit materials that have the ability to give the system a 432 Exabyte ROM data bus for an AI to occupy and use.
The system will need access to the system the AI needs in order to be useful. In military operations, this usually means integrating the sensor systems, artillery and air defense networks, as well as various support functions that the headquarters needs to have operated by the AI. Many of these functions can be run by actual personnel or stand-alone computer systems, but none of them can be run as efficiently as by a single AI system in overall control of the entire system.
The Resalim Remote Station is often set up as an internal unit in a specific command vehicle or it can be a mobile unit that can be moved and setup in the field in the local tactical operations center. The cube shaped Station is eighty centimeters on a side. It has a speaker and camera system that allows the remote station to be used by the AI to communicate within the operational area.

The Resalim Remote Station contains hardware, software and data that will be useful for the research and production of certain AI technologies. It is one of thousands of relics the emerging player empires will search for in ancient ruins and galactic archives in the Five Galaxies.
