This week we began working with Dustin Baker, a talented fellow out of Washington State. Graphic Design is just one of his many talents. He is passionate about making Takamo Universe the best it can be. Our first project together is the creation of military icons for the various types of units that will populate the Five Galaxies.
Unit Icons will be seen in various contexts. They appear in Build and Design GUIs, R & D frameworks, Planet GUIs, Military Maps, Archives, and many other parts of the game.
Here are some examples of unit icons that are found in Takamo Universe and how they will be used.
What does this mean for players?
The unit Icon tells the player at a glance the type, size and quality of the unit. That gives a player an idea of the firepower the unit has and how tough it is likely to be in combat.
